Who's Who

Mediocrates

Played By: Matt

One of the members at the table, a man in a tan robe reached a hand into the folds of his garment and produced a cigar which he promptly lit with the candle from the table. Glancing among his peers at the table the neatly groomed man fidgeted a little before quietly clearinghis throat behind a clenched hand.

In a soft voice the man said, "Where I'm from the folks called me Med, I suppose you could do the same or call me by my given name of Mediocrates." smoke lazily rose from the cigar in the man's mouth. After a long pause and no one at the table speaking up the man continued.

"I have taken to the road to seek the fabled fame, power, and riches every red blooded adventurer craves. If you have use of a mage in your travels you could do far worse then me."

Taking a long draw on his cigar the man quietly settles back in his chair, leaving the glass of wine in front of him on the table still untouched. Staring out into the sunset he seems more then content to let someone else speak while he enjoys his cigar.

Pral

Played By: Ivan

The tallest of the group watches the smoke from the cigar in Med’s hand swirl around in the breeze as if fascinated by the movement. Eventually he raises his head and his gaze slowly comes up to meet Thumbs'. "I jus' travelling through."

The eyes glaze as if in thought again and as he is about to speak a raven shrieks with an almost bloodcurdling caw as it is attacked by two other birds. The tumbling mass of feathers falls to the ground, flapping ineffectively trying to slow its decent, but the feathered bundle strikes the ground and after a little movement is still.

The blunt head atop the hugely corded muscled neck turns back again towards Thumbs. "I jus' passing through" he pauses as if to recall whether he has just repeated himself, before adding "I jus here to protect my friends." He looks slowly around at the group at the table.

"I am Pral, I protect....people." He grins at the declaration and glances down at the broadsword leaning against the bench he is seated upon, before looking back once more and grinning.

Talia

Played By: John

A young woman scrambles up out of the gathering dark outside and jumps down into the porch. She moves silently, and the ravens, if they noticed her passing beneath their trees, paid her no heed. Dressed in worn leathers, or perhaps merely animal skins, there is what looks to be a stone knife at her belt, razor sharp, though surely no use in combat. Her dark hair is tangled and wild, knotted with leaves and twigs, and her features, small and fierce, seem as wild as her appearance. She seems more a part of the land beyond the inn than of the world of men, and the scent of the wild is rich upon her, and as she looks warily about her, taking in each of you in turn, she seems almost more animal than human. But then, as if deciding that there is no danger here, she grins, a quick smile that returns the humanity to her eyes, and moves to your table.

"I'm Talia," she announces. "And if one of you is the inn-keeper, I'd love a drink."

Elendil

Played By: Jason

A dark haired man, not much to look at, took a draw from his mug and blanched slightly at the taste. He cleared his throat.

"My master, Atanar was a sage who studied elves. I always liked elves meself and tried to learn everything I could about 'em. Me folks called me Elendil, that means ‘Elf-friend’. I came up this way to see if there was any trace of them. Master Atanar, well he took sick some time back. He wasn' able to make the journey."

Elendil blushed slightly, "It’d be better if Atanar were here, he could tell you all sorts of things. He could probably talk to 'em. I was more a bodyguard to Atanar. I'm good in a fight and can scout a bit. With all that's changed here recently, there's probably a whole new world out there to see and discover..."
